SINGAPORE — The retail mall within the Singapore Sports Hub has been officially named Kallang Wave and will open next month.

The 41,000 sqm mall will feature a FairPrice Xtra stall, which will be Singapore’s first sports themed hypermarket, offering bicycles, sports equipment and sportswear.

Located near various up-and-coming sports facilities such as the National Stadium, Water Sports Centre and OCBC Aquatic Centre, it is also within walking distance of the Singapore Indoor Stadium and the Sports Hub Museum.

SMRT CEO and President Desmond Kuek said: “The Kallang Wave retains the association with the old National Stadium, and symbolises the distinctive spirit, energy and close community ties.”
