SINGAPORE – MediaCorp artiste Zhang Zhen Huan may have failed to land a nomination for the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes category, but there’s no doubting his popularity with fans – at least online.

Two weeks after it was open to public voting, the actor leads the pack in the Star Awards 2015 Favourite Online Awards. (Voting will continue until April 19, 9pm.)

The online awards invites fans to vote for their Favourite Male and Female Characters, as well as Favourite Onscreen Couple. Zhang’s portrayal of Gao Guo Tian in the drama, World At Your Feet, jumped to No 1, after trailing the pack at No 5 last week. Elvin Ng, Aloysius Pang, Xu Bin and Romeo Tan round up the field for the male characters.

Zhang is also the current favourite when it comes to onscreen couples: His chemistry with Jeanette Aw in World At Your Feet seems to be the odds-on favourite with fans, with pairings Romeo Tan/Rebecca Lim (for their performance in Yes We Can), Ian Fang/Kimberly Chia (World At Your Feet), Qi Yu Wu/Joanne Peh (C.L.I.F. 3) and Li Nan Xing/Rui En (C.L.I.F. 3).

In the Favourite Female Character category, Aw held on to her lead for the second week running, for her role as Hong Ming Hui in The Journey: Tumultuous Times, followed by Rui En (as Qiu Xueqing in Against The Tide), Rebecca Lim (as Zhang Xue Qin in Yes We Can), Kimberly Chia (as Ye Xiao Feng in World At Your Feet) and Felicia Chin (as Pan Xiao Min In The Name of Love).

Results for the Favourite Online Awards are based solely on public votes on the Star Awards microsite (http://starawards.com.sg).
