SINGAPORE — Along with popular group The Sam Willows, Sony Music has signed on Singaporean musicians Sezairi Sezali and Trick, the music company announced.

“We discovered Trick online. The group has received good traction on their video covers and displays a unique identity,” said Julius Ng, managing director, Sony Music Singapore and Malaysia. “The Sam Willows and Sezairi have always been on our radar. Both are multi-talented, brand-friendly and very hardworking. We at Sony Music love working with passionate young musicians.”

Ng also said the company will continue to look for new talent from the region. “Signed artists can expect to leverage Sony Music’s strong network around the world to propel their music internationally,” he said. “Sony Music has a strong foundation in A&R and with the insights and planning studies we continuously do, we are able to understand music audiences from different segments and generate a well-defined strategy according to each artist’s DNA.”

In addition, Sony also launched Brand Solutions Hub, the first music brand consultancy under Sony Music in Singapore. Brand Solutions Hub will focus on providing music branding solutions to regional marketing campaigns in the Asia-Pacific, while developing new talent in local and international music markets under the Artiste & Repertoire arm of Sony Music Asia Pacific.
