SINGAPORE — Have you written a song you are really proud of?

Mediacorp is calling for submissions for Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM 2016), which celebrates talents and achievements in the regional Malay music industry. Musicians can submit their works for consideration at toggle.sg/APM from March 1 to April 30.

Eligible for nomination are Malay music works, including songs, singles, EPs and albums that were released in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia between July 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016.

The prestigious music awards ceremony, which is in its 15th year, is organised by Mediacorp’s Malay Community segment, which includes Suria, Warna 94.2FM, Ria 89.7FM and Manja. The final list of nominees will be revealed at media conferences held in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta at a later date. When the final list of nominees are released, music lovers from the region will also be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite songs and artistes in fan-driven categories.

A total of 19 awards will be presented at this year’s APM, which will also celebrate 80 years of radio at Mediacorp. The star-studded awards ceremony will be held on Sept 30 at The Theatre @ Mediacorp, and will feature song performances and collaborations between artistes from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Ticketing details will be announced at a later date.
