Australia’s Hi-5 returns to Singapore with a new stage show

SINGAPORE — It’s time for a house party. Specifically, a Hi-5 House Party.

This weekend, the cast of hit television series Hi-5 will be returning to Singapore with its latest live stage show, called Hi-5 House Party. It features regulars Stevie Nicholson, Lauren Brant and Dayen Zheng (who joined as a touring member last year), as well as newly-minted members Mary Lascaris and Ainsley Melham, both of whom joined the group only this year. And yes, it promises to transport audiences to the most fun-filled place in the world: Their fabulous new Hi-5 House.

“The Singapore show is going to be particularly special because it is so close to Christmas. There will be a classic Hi-5 Christmas song somewhere in the mix — you’ll have to wait and see — and the show really is a celebration of the festive season,” said Julie Greene, executive creative director of Hi-5.

“Singapore is a home away from home for the Hi-5 cast and so every performance here is special. The cast love to interact and engage with their fan base there,” she added. Their latest series, Hi-5 House, was filmed in Singapore earlier this year. It’s the first time the children’s programme was produced outside of Australia and it will air on both MediaCorp’s okto channel as well as the Toggle platform.

Greene added that this would be the first Hi-5 show done in the style of a concert. It will include favourite Hi-5 hits, such as Ready Or Not and L.O.V.E.

And you can bone up on all things Hi-5 by tuning into every single Hi-5 episode on Toggle. MediaCorp has acquired the entire back catalogue of the past 13 seasons.
