SINGAPORE — As busy working adults, a common complaint when it comes to fitness is, “Who has the time?”.
And let’s face it, our weekends are just as packed too (yes, taking time to snooze is counted).
So what can one do? Thankfully, there are now plenty of gyms offering exercises classes that you can do in less than 40 minutes, that you can easily sneak in during lunch or after work.
Here are some of the favourite spots to get a quick workout done.
BODYTEC SINGAPORE (Time needed for workout: 20 minutes)
Bodytec offers Electro Muscle Stimulation (EMS) training, where you exercise with a dedicated personal trainer in a sort-of suit that delivers (safe) electric currents that deeply engage your muscles. Your body will feel like you’ve been working out for hours in just a 20 minute session. Bodytec Singapore is at 3 Pickering Street, #01-04. Tel: 6423 1306
7CYCLE (Time needed: 35 minutes)
If spinning is more up your alley, sign up for 7Cycle’s 35 minute classes. Choose between the 7Interval: Core + Strength class which, well, builds up your core and strength for epic abs, or the 7Interval class that combines cardio and strength training to effectively shed fat and improve your overall fitness. 7Cycle is at 19 Anamalai Avenue, #01-01. Tel: 6222 8770
RITUAL GYM (Time needed: 20 minutes)
Ritual prides itself as the 30-minute gym, and promises to get you in and out in half an hour — including shower time. Their signature High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions are a mixture of strength training and cardio using free weights and bodyweight movements that targets the whole body. Ritual Gym is at 11 North Canal Road. Tel: 6536 7291
BBOUNCE STUDIO (Time needed: 30 minutes)
Bbounce offers rebounding classes, and their signature Hybrid Rebounding combines a variety of workouts, all done on a rebounder, to improve strength, fitness and flexibility. And it’s fun. If you’ve always wanted to get your fitness on but never found a workout that really stuck, give rebounding a try. Bbounce is at #06-09, The Centrepoint. Tel: 6262 2272
