SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar’s Heritage Menu offers a set of three courses (S$52++) including starters such as Twice-Cooked Skewered Chicken, a satay dish with a twist, marinated with kecap manis sweet soy sauce and sous vide; mains such as Hokkien Mee, reinterpreted as a pasta dish with handmade tagiatelle, pork belly and squid; and desserts Roti and Kopi, a mix of gula melaka, with house-made kaya, pandan ice cream and Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee’s Ethopia heirloom blend over it. Available for lunch and dinner. Also indulge in the specially crafted Grand Kenyan (S$18++) cold brew cocktail at SPRMRKT Kitchen & Bar, a vodka-based concoction highlighting Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee’s Kenya Iyego Garuda Top AA black cold brew. ANJALICHOCOLAT’S LATEST COLLECTION – FROM SINGAPORE… LAH!

Homegrown artisan chocolatier ANJALICHOCOLAT introduces its latest collection From Singapore… Lah!, which merges traditional chocolates with bold flavours and ingredients from Singapore. Local favourites include flavours such as Kaya Toast, Mango Pudding, Kalamansi and the Singapore Sling. Chocolates are packed in boxes of two different sizes: Nine pieces (S$35) and 16 pieces (S$60). THE GARAGE PAYS A GASTRONOMIC HOMAGE TO SINGAPORE

The Garage pays homage to its contemporary-bistro seasonality driven menu and presents a selection of specially created dishes that melds the freshest produce with local flavours. Specially crafted dishes include Tamarind Seabass Ceviche with Kei Ko (S$18++), an Assam Laksa-like appetiser of diced seabass, green chili, shaved ginger flower and glass noodles; Iberico Char Siew (S$34++), a glazed Spanish top loin smoked and chargrilled in Inka oven; Chedol Colada Cocktail (S$15++), a mix of rum, gula-melaka syrup, pineapple juice and coconut cream, topped with rice flour jelly, and more. Diners dressed in red and white on National Day, Aug 9, will enjoy a free scoop of ice cream when they dine at Bee’s Knees, limited to one redemption per dinner. INDULGE IN LOCALLY INSPIRED CREATIONS AT UNA

Feast on a spread of Spanish fiesta favourites inspired by iconic local dishes. Dishes include Chili Crab Croquetas (S$10++), crispy panko-crumbed morsels filled with fresh crab meat and gravy; Wagyu Rump (S$18++), served alongside fresh cucumber, mini-pickled onions, garlic aioli and house-made peanut sauce; Sauteed Gambas with Laksa Paste (S$22++) with succulent tiger prawns stir-fried with spice paste; or even the Paella de Pollo de Singapur (S$46++ for small; S$66++ for large), a take on Hainanese chicken rice. HELLO KITTY ORCHID GARDEN LAUNCHES NEW PASTA DISHES

Hello Kitty Orchid Garden launches two new pasta dishes with a local twist. New offerings include Shrimply The Best (S$17), spaghetti tossed in hae bee hiam (spicy dried shrimp), sambal, chili and chunks of teriyaki chicken thigh; as well as One Nation with Kitty (S$17), macaroni baked together with cheddar and sweet chicken bak kwa. Pastas can be enjoyed a la carte or in a National Day Set (S$26) with a choice of either pasta coupled with Kitty’s Love (S$15.50), a red velvet lava cake. Dine-in guests can also snap photos with 3D life-sized Hello Kitty figurines, measuring 3.1 by 2.3 metres, holding a mini national flag. Available from now to Aug 31. NUTMEG & CLOVE’S NATIONAL DAY COCKTAIL MENU

Inspired by William Farquhar’s natural history drawings and in celebration of National Day, Nutmeg & Clove has unveiled four cocktails that feature either native herbs, spices, fruits or flowers. Paying homage to Farquhar’s research book of Singapore’s flora and fauna, the cocktails include The King and Queen, named after the King and Queen of fruits, durian and mangosteen are used in the drink; The Galangal Beer, a spicy mix of Mount Gay Black Barrel infused with house-made pear syrup; Galangal ginger beer and fresh lime is a take on the Moscow Mule; Oh My Jasmine features house-made jasmine syrup and matcha; and Bay Side infuses Botanist Gin with bay leaves. CRAVE LAUNCHES LIMITED-TIME NASI LEMAK SATAY CHICKEN

Local food establishment CRAVE launches a classic delight, Nasi Lemak Satay Chicken (S$8.90) with Iced Calamansi (S$9.90). With a modern twist on the local favourite, CRAVE’s Nasi Lemak Satay Chicken is served with a full piece of tender chicken thigh, marinated with a variety of spices and drizzled in sweet satay sauce. Enjoy an iced calamansi to cleanse your palate after. Available at all 13 CRAVE outlets islandwide until Aug 31, while stocks last.

BOOK AHEAD: CHILI CRAB TACOS AT SUPER LOCO CUSTOMS HOUSE

Diners at Super Loco Customs House can enjoy two Singapore-inspired tacos on Aug 8 and 9 at Vivia Singapore Fiesta. Created by Chef Jason Jones, the Loco Group’s culinary director, the Chili Crab Taco (S$10++) is made with fresh mud crab meat sauteed with garlic, shallots and seasonings, and served in a corn tortilla with deep-fried rice buns; Kaya Toast Taco (S$7++) is a combination of Chef Jones’ home-made Kaya Jam, presented on a corn tortilla with layers of egg custard, croutons and topped with toasted coconut gratings. Along with the tacos, diners can also enjoy views of the National Day fireworks on Aug 9, with top local DJ’s spinning party beats. Wildseed Cafe presents an all-day brunch from 9am to 5pm with selections such as Atas Kaya Toast (S$8++), Chef Florian’s take on his favourite local breakfast featuring sourdough toast, kaya, house-made butter, gula Melaka and sous vide egg; and Nasi Lemak Hash Brown (S$10++), a creation of crispy hash brown topped with pandan coconut, sambal mayonnaise and cucumber. Alternatively, for the sweet-toothed, enjoy the Milo Dinosaur Softie (S$6++) with Milo balls and Milo powder, or Strawberries & Cream Ice Cream Sandwich (S$6.50++). Available from Aug 7 to 13. BOOK AHEAD: ONE-NIGHT-ONLY MENU AT ARTEMIS

Helmed by Executive Chef Fernando Arevalo, diners at rooftop restaurant Artemis, can celebrate National Day with a view of fireworks coupled with an exclusive one-evening-only menu that features a sharing platter. The menu includes dishes such as Whole Roasted Organic Chicken (S$62), Barbequed Spicy Pork Presa (S$68), Grilled Lobster (S$78) and Chargrilled Wagyu Striploin (S$172). Guests can also enjoy pre-dinner drinks from Artemis’ newest gin and tonic programme at the rooftop bar, at S$22 each. Available from 4.30pm onwards. Located at 138 Market Street, Level 40.
