MANDARIN GALLERY PRESENTS SINGAPORE FOOD TRAIL

In conjunction with Singapore Food Festival this month, Mandarin Gallery has teamed up with some restaurants to present the Singapore Food Trail. In the lead up to Singapore’s 52nd National Day celebrations, selected restaurants have created food and drinks specials to celebrate the occassion. Restaurants include Antoinette, which presents Orient (S$9++), a salted egg cremeux dish; Arteastiq’s Two-Way Lobster (S$38++), a lobster thermidor, and otah stuffed lobster shell; Lawry’s The Prime Rib’s Chili Crab Pasta with Soft Shell Crab (S$38++) and Red Jubilee drink (S$5.20++); The Providore’s Singapore Sling Mocktail (S$8.50++). All dishes are available from now to August 9. Dishes from Lawry’s The Prime Rib are only available for lunch in July, and all-day in August. Located at Mandarin Gallery.

PEZZO UNVEILS SINGAPORE’S FIRST-EVER DURIAN CHARCOAL PIZZA

Singapore’s largest home-grown pizza chain, Pezzo, has launched the first-ever durian charcoal pizza, Durian King (S$5.90 per slice; S$32.90 for a whole pan). The handmade charcoal pizza dough is topped with 100 per cent pure durian flesh of top-grade Mao Shan Wang and D24. The warm and creamy durian topping boasts brown crispy edges. Available in limited quantities at all Pezzo outlets, except Changi Airport Terminal 2, from now to mid-August, while stocks last.

ZAFFERANO’S NEW SUMMER MENU

Enjoy an Italian gourmet affair with Zafferano’s new summer menu featuring dishes like Mazara Raw Red Prawn Ceviche (S$32, juicy raw red prawns seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon dressing); Squid Ink Risotto (S$32), which is a superfine carnaroli Acquerello risotto served with sautéed calamari and fava bean puree; a house-made Gourmet Pizza (S$34) adorned with truffle sauce and seasonal white asparagus with speck and grated ricotta cheese as toppings, and more. NEW ICE CREAM COUNTER AT CAROUSEL WITH SPECIAL CREATED FLAVOUR

Carousel recently launched their new counter of novelty homemade ice cream. Created by Executive Pastry Chef, Choo Eng Tat, guests can enjoy a myriad of flavours, including signature flavours Fresh Coconut, Chendol and Kaya Toast, as well as unique flavours like Thai Milk Tea and Lemon Thyme Sorbet. As part of Singapore Restaurant Festival’s Salted Egg Shiok campaign, chefs at Carousel have specially created a Salted Egg Yolk flavoured ice cream. Guests can create their own unique ice cream pairings with freshly-made waffles or cones, and add condiments like meringues and fruits coulis. Served during lunch and dinner for walk-in guests. HAAGEN-DAZS: RAISE THE BAR

Haagen-Dazs introduces their iconic ice cream flavours in new mini stick bars so customers can indulge anytime and anywhere. Ice cream flavours are available in two multipack options (S$1.90 per multipack), green Tea & Almond with Mango & Raspberry; Chocolate Choc Almond with Vanilla Caramel. Available in major retailers and Haagen-Dazs stores islandwide.

FEAST FIT FOR A KING WITH DELIVEROO’S NEW MENU

Riding on Game of Thrones fever, Deliveroo launches its special edition Feast for a King menu for customers to experience a taste of the Seven Kingdoms with dishes inspired by iconic scenes and characters in Season 7 of the HBO series. Dishes include Manhattan Pizza Co.’s offering of Littlefingers’ Big Fingers (S$12.84), a chicken tender dish and play on Lord Baelish’s nickname; Greenwood Fish Market’s Oyster Platter (S$59), a platter of freshly shucked mantle oysters; Tyrion’s Sheesh Kebab (S$21.89) from Braseiro Restaurant, inspired by Tywin meeting his end, and more.
