Local junior chefs make marshmallows in aid of Nepal Relief Fund

SINGAPORE — The Singapore Junior Chefs Club, the youth arm of the Singapore Chefs’ Association, is baking marshmallows — lots of it — to raise funds for Nepal relief efforts managed by World Chefs Without Borders, the humanitarian arm of the World Association of Chef Societies (http://www.worldchefs.org). The participating members are mostly students in culinary institutes and also working chefs, and aged between 18 and 25 years.

The participating members are mostly students in culinary institutes and also working chefs, and aged between 18 and 25 years.

Each pack of marshmallows is priced at S$10 and the club is aiming to sell 800 packets (or S$8,000 worth of sales). To order, email sjcc_fundraising [at] yahoo.com by May 22. The packs can be collected on May 23 and 25 at Nanyang Polytechnic, 180 Ang Mo Kio Ave 8. Delivery is available for orders of 30 packs and above.
