SINGAPORE — UberEATS now delivers food islandwide, the company said on Tuesday (July 4), a year since it launched the service in the Central Business District (CBD) and Orchard.
With the expanded service, UberEATS has some 2,000 eatery partners, up from 100 when it first launched.
Some of the new participating outlets include ThaiExpress, heartland favourites Jurong’s Ayam Penyet President and Changi’s Kambing Bakar Cairo as well as Bismillah Biryani, which was listed under the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2017 list.
According UberEATS, it plans to continue growing the number of partners its works with to include more hawker options later this year. Currently, the service has partnered with Tampines Round Market & Food Centre, Ming Fa Fishball and Holland Village Nasi Lemak.
“Going island-wide has been one year in the making and we are extremely excited about it. From Changi to Jurong, from Woodlands to Sentosa, we’re now able to deliver the right food for right now to everyone in Singapore,” said Barry Levy, Head of Expansion, UberEATS APAC.
UberEATS is the third islandwide food delivery service here. Deliveroo started in June last year with almost 3,000 restaurant partners while Foodpanda also launched last year and has 3,000 partners.
UberEATs is available at www.ubereats.com/Singapore, and on their app for both Apple and Android users.
