JOHOR BAHRU — Legoland Malaysia, which opened its doors last September, continues to grow brick by brick, with its new waterpark — the largest Legoland waterpark the world — set to open for the public on Oct 21 this year.
Boasting over 20 slides and over 70 new Lego models, the water park will cater to children from ages 2 to 12, but is designed to “provide interactive fun for both adults and children alike”, said Legoland’s Siegfried Boerst speaking at the media preview.
In addition to the annual passes currently on offer, premium annual passes will become available that will provide unlimited access to both the theme park and water park. The premium annual passes are priced at RM395 (S$158) for both adults and children.
Mr Boerst went on to say: “Visitor numbers to date have far exceeded our expectations. We believe that the addition of the water park and resort will increase visitor numbers even further. That said, the safety of guests is of utmost importance to us, so there will be limited capacity in the waterpark to prevent overcrowding.”
A Legoland resort will open next year, but the date is yet to be confirmed.
