MADONNA’S REBEL HEART TOUR 2016

After months of intense speculation and controversy, the Queen of Pop has finally arrived at our shores. Madonna will be performing for the very first time in Singapore, after stops in cities like Hong Kong, Macau and Taipei. The American pop superstar’s Rebel Heart Tour will be held at the National Stadium on Sunday, Feb 28. Tickets available at Sports Hub Tix.

PANGDEMONIUM’S THE EFFECT

Directed by Tracie Pang and starring Nikki Muller, Linden Furnell, Tan Kheng Hua and Adrian Pang, Pangdemonium’s adaptation of the British play The Effect explores questions about sanity, the ethical minefield of neuroscience and love. The Effect will run until March 13 at Victoria Theatre. Tickets from S$40 (matinees) and S$45 (Friday and Saturday evenings) are available at SISTIC.

DELLA DING’S THE FIRST DAY TO SAY “I LOVE YOU” CONCERT

Known for singing the theme songs to countless Taiwanese dramas, Della Ding returns to Singapore with hit ballads such as I Love You and Palm. Her concert will be held at 8pm on Saturday, Feb 27, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets from S$88 are available from Sports Hub Tix.

SATAY NIGHT LIVE II

Back by popular demand, Satay Night Live presents an evening of local food and ‘live’ performances by local bands, including popular duo Jack & Rai and seasoned entertainers Jive Talkin’. Admission is free to Satay Night Live, which will be held from 6pm to 10.30pm at Empress Place (Empress Lawn).

SOCIAL MARKET AT OPEN FARM COMMUNITY

The third edition of Open Farm Community’s Social Market offers fresh produce from a myriad of vendors, as well as activities such as Mindful Vinyasa by AlphaBalance and a Bees Workshop by Nutrinest. SINGAPORE REALLY REALLY FREE MARKET 40

The next edition of this temporary market, which encourages the sharing of resources, will be held from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, Feb 28, at Jurong Central Park. KOOL AND THE GANG

The Grammy-award winning funk pop band celebrates more than 50 years in music with a concert at the MasterCard Theatres, Marina Bay Sands at 8pm, Saturday, Feb 27. Tickets from S$88 from the Marina Bay Sands ticketing portal and SISTIC.

DOG ADOPTION

Local shelter Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) will be holding its biggest adoption drive to date, with more than 50 dogs set to make an appearance at *SCAPE Youth Park on Sunday, Feb 28. SOSD will also be holding its Flag Day to raise funds for the rest of the year. At the same time, Perrobox will be holding a charity and dog adoption drive on Sunday, Feb 28 from 11am to 6pm at The Star Vista. LOST WEEKEND X MEAN

Local indie pop band Lost Weekend teams up with Singaporean rapper Mean this weekend at The Esplanade’s Outdoor Theatres. The acts will play at 7.30pm, 8.45pm at 10pm on Saturday, Feb 27, and 7.30pm and 8.45pm on Sunday, Feb 28. Admission is free.

CIRQUE ELOIZE

A contemporary urban circus from Quebec, Cirque Eloize features performances by 16 world-class performers boasting skills from ten circus disciplines. Cirque Eloize will run until March 6, with shows from Wednesday to Friday. Tickets from S$45 are available at SISTIC.
