22,000 MHA officers to get 3-10% pay raise from Jan 1

22,000 MHA officers to get 3-10% pay raise from Jan 1
Some 22,000 officers working for the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will receive a pay increment of between 3 and 10 per cent in their gross monthly salaries from Jan 1 next year.

In a news release on Monday (Oct 31), the ministry said that these include officers on the Home Affairs Uniformed Services, Home Affairs Services, Home Team Specialist Scheme and Commercial Affairs Scheme.

“The salary adjustments are a result of MHA’s periodic reviews to ensure that our officers’ salary packages keep pace with the market and remain competitive. This will enable MHA to continue to attract and retain good officers.”

It added that besides the salary adjustments, the ministry will continue to provide its officers with “meaningful career opportunities in the Home Team, and support their growth and development”.

Earlier in June, the Public Service Division (PSD) announced that some 23,000 officers in the civil service’s generic schemes and their related schemes will get a pay raise of between 5 and 14 per cent from Aug 1 onwards.
