Consumer watchdog warns of phishing emails impersonating its officers; 13 reports received in 3 days

A phishing email impersonating Consumers Association of Singapore officers.
In a media release on Tuesday (Jan 24), the consumer watchdog said that these emails, which bear the association's logo, include a fake ticket number for claims or disputes
The recipients are instructed to click on a chat icon to access a third party site to receive updates or monetary compensation
The emails are sent from different email addresses such as ‘odoo [at] compueconomicos.com’, ‘wilson [at] v3.sg’, and ‘bhm200025 [at] sdh.sg’
Among the senders' names is ‘Lim Kong Ting SG Feedback’
