Gig workers concerned about lower take-home pay, discrimination while backing new measures to improve welfare

These are to boost protection for such workers, including injury compensation and affording them savings for housing
Gig workers told TODAY that they were generally supportive of the measures but were concerned about matters such as lower take-home pay
Some consumers said that possible higher prices for services such as food delivery and private-hire rides due to the changes should be borne by the platform companies
