Teenager, 17, on probation for having sex with underage girls reoffends, this time with a 13-year-old

Despite already being placed on probation for having sex with two underage girls aged 14 and 15, a teenage boy reoffended by committing the same offence on a third teenage girl who was even younger at age 13.  

On Monday (Jan 10), the 17-year–old boy pleaded guilty to three fresh charges of sexually penetrating a minor below the age of 16.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Jeremy Bin told the court that the latest case came to light on Sept 8 last year when the police were informed that the 13-year-old girl, who had been reported as lost, was found.

During the course of their investigation, the police found that the boy had been having sex with the girl after they entered into a relationship on Aug 5. In each instance, the girl consented to the acts. The boy was aware that the girl was underage.

Aside from having sex with the 13-year-old girl, the youth also physically abused the same girl twice. These two abuse charges will be taken into consideration for sentencing.
