SINGAPORE — An 88-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday (June 5) for the murder of a 74-year-old woman in a Bukit Panjang flat.

SINGAPORE — An 88-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday (June 5) for the murder of a 74-year-old woman in a Bukit Panjang flat. 

The police said they were called to a flat along Petir Road at about 1am on Wednesday.

Officers found the elderly woman lying motionless and she was pronounced dead by paramedics.

The suspect was arrested at the scene.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties are known to each other," the police added.

The man will be charged in court on Thursday.
