SINGAPORE — A section of the false ceiling near the entrance of Golden Mile Complex collapsed on Friday (April 23) afternoon, but there were no injuries reported.
A video posted on social media shows passersby milling about the area, which is near the taxi stand to the mall, when part of the ceiling suddenly falls to the ground.
The time stamp on the video showed the incident took place at 6.02 p.m. on Friday.
Photos by Shin Min Daily News show the wreckage that was left behind — boards, debris and dust as well as a wooden frame that had been part of the ceiling were on the ground, while electrical wiring was exposed in the hole in the ceiling.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was not activated for the incident.
