SINGAPORE — A person was taken to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital after a car caught fire along the Central Expressway (CTE) on Wednesday (April 13) afternoon.
In response to TODAY’s queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was alerted to an incident at about 2.55pm involving a car along the CTE towards the Seletar Expressway, on the slip road into Braddell Road.
SCDF said that its officers extinguished the fire using a water jet and two compressed air foam backpacks.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
In a dashboard camera video posted on the Singapore Taxi Driver Facebook group, a white BMW on fire can be seen along the slip road, with thick smoke billowing from its engine.
A short distance away, some foreign workers can be seen taking a video of the fire by the side of the road.
