In response to TODAY’s queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was alerted to an incident at about 2.55pm involving a car along the CTE towards the Seletar Expressway, on the slip road into Braddell Road.

SCDF said that its officers extinguished the fire using a water jet and two compressed air foam backpacks.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

In a dashboard camera video posted on the Singapore Taxi Driver Facebook group, a white BMW on fire can be seen along the slip road, with thick smoke billowing from its engine.
