3 teenagers arrested over taxi robbery
SINGAPORE – Three teenagers were arrested this morning (Feb 2) for allegedly assaulting and robbing a taxi driver.
SINGAPORE – Three teenagers were arrested this morning (Feb 2) for allegedly assaulting and robbing a taxi driver.
The boys, aged between 16 and 17, allegedly committed the crime at about 2am at Japanese Gardens Road. Police said they were arrested eight hours later.
The suspects, who were passengers in the taxi, punched the driver, took some cash and fled.
The driver filed a police report and two of the suspects were later arrested at their homes in Woodlands.
The suspects will be charged in court tomorrow and if found guilty could face imprisonment of at least five years and caning. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
