SINGAPORE — Malls along the Orchard Road stretch — from Wisma Atria to Lucky Plaza, Ngee Ann City and The Centrepoint — as well as the Tiger Street Lab concept store selling food, drinks and apparel at Jewel Changi Airport were added to a list of public places that had been visited by Covid-19 cases during their infectious period.

In its evening update on the coronavirus situation in Singapore on Friday (Sept 4), the Ministry of Health (MOH) said that the infectious persons had visited:

  • The Centrepoint mall on Aug 21 between 4.50pm and 5.50pm

  • Tag Heuer watch shop at Wisma Atria mall on Aug 22 between 4pm and 5.10pm, and on Aug 23 between 5.25pm and 6.25pm

  • Takashimaya Department Store at Ngee Ann City mall on Aug 22 between 5.20pm and 6.30pm

  • Food Republic food court at Wisma Atria mall on Aug 22 between 6.40pm and 7.40pm

  • Lucky Plaza on Aug 23 between 8.50am and 9.30pm

  • Ya Kun Family Cafe at Compass One mall in Sengkang on Aug 23 between 5.25pm and 6.25pm

  • Tiger Street Lab concept store at Jewel Changi Airport on Aug 24 between 8.10pm and 10.10pm

  • Din Tai Fung restaurant at Nex mall on Aug 25 between 2.35pm and 7.30pm

  • Warehouse Club at FairPrice Hub in Joo Koon on Aug 27 between 9am and 11.40am

MOH said that it would have already notified individuals who were identified as close contacts of the confirmed cases.

"As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit," it added.

"They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history."

Members of the public do not need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been, MOH said.

The National Environment Agency will engage the management of the affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.

On Friday, MOH reported 40 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore. Of these, three are imported while the remaining 37 are foreign workers staying in dormitories.

No community cases were reported.
