6 Singaporean seniors die of Covid-19 complications; death toll reaches 142

Three of them were men and the other three were women.

All Singaporeans, they were aged between 67 and 93, MOH said in its daily update on the coronavirus situation here.

One of them had been vaccinated against Covid-19, three were partially vaccinated and the remaining two were not.

“Five of them had various underlying medical conditions, while a partially vaccinated case had no known medical conditions,” MOH said, without indicating when they were infected with Covid-19 or died.

In total, 142 people here have died from complications after contracting the coronavirus, including 41 this month.

MOH on Friday reported a record 3,590 new cases of infection, with 2,825 in the community and 765 in migrant worker dormitories. There was no imported infection for the day.

This brought Singapore’s total number of coronavirus cases logged since the start of the pandemic last year to 120,454.
