SINGAPORE — Around 880,000 households will be receiving between 1.5 months and 3.5 months of Service & Conservancy Charges (S&CC) rebates starting this April, as part of the financial support announced during Budget 2017, said the Ministry of Finance (MOF) on Thursday (March 30).
The rebates, S$120 million in total, are expected to be disbursed four tranches – in April, July, October and next January.
Eligible households will receive a letter from the end of this month with more details of the rebates. One-room and two-room households for instance will be receiving 3.5 months of rebates, while households in executive or multi-generational flats will get 1.5 months of rebates.
These rebate will be used to offset a household’s S&CC payment directly. Town councils will be making the necessary arrangements with banks for households who pay their S&CC through GIRO.
