AGC commences contempt of court proceedings against cartoonist Leslie Chew

SINGAPORE — The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has commenced legal proceedings in the High Court against Chew Peng Ee, also known as Leslie Chew, who is behind the comic series “Demon-cratic Singapore” for contempt of court.

SINGAPORE — The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has commenced legal proceedings in the High Court against Chew Peng Ee, also known as Leslie Chew, who is behind the comic series “Demon-cratic Singapore” for contempt of court.

Mr Chew, 37, is accused of scandalising the judiciary in five comics published online, said the AGC.

The case will be heard at the High Court on Aug 12.
