SINGAPORE — From Friday till May 22, Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs) may apply for tickets to this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) and the two previews, the Defence Ministry said in a press release on Wednesday (May 11).
This year’s parade will return to the National Stadium for the first time in a decade, and will feature the use of “unmanned technologies”, aerial displays, and indoor fireworks.
Applicants can choose to apply for two, four or six tickets to the first preview on July 23, the second preview on July 30 or the actual parade on August 9. As each ticket admits one spectator to the parade, children — inclusive of infants — must hold a valid ticket to be admitted to the parade.
Applicants can apply for their tickets via SMS, online or at SAM and AXS stations. Each NRIC holder is limited to one application regardless of the mode used to apply. Successful applicants will be notified from June 2 to 8.
Those who wish to apply for tickets via SMS should follow these steps: Key in your <NRIC No.> SPACE <No. of Tickets 2/4/6> SPACE <NDP/Preview1/Preview2> SPACE <SG/PR> SPACE <NAME> and send it to 8240 0050.
Those who wish to apply online can go to the official NDP website at www.ndp.org.sg or visit any SAM and AXS stations.
The balloting results are final. “Applicants should note that the lower the number of tickets applied for, the higher the chances of obtaining them,” the Defence Ministry’s statement said.
