SINGAPORE - Bail has been denied for the man who is alleged to have hacked into Ang Mo Kio Town Council's website.

James Raj Arokiasamy, 35, who is accused to have gone by the moniker, "The Messiah",  will be kept in remand.

The prosecution told the court that he is at flight risk.

Defence lawyer M Ravi argued that additional conditions such as impounding his client's passport could be added if bail was granted.

However, District judge Soh Tze Bian agreed with the prosecution that James Raj is at flight risk.

The case will be heard again on Jan 7 2014.
