COE premiums close mostly lower in latest bidding exercise

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums fell for all categories except for motorcycles at the end of the latest bidding exercise today (Feb 4).

SINGAPORE — Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums fell for all categories except for motorcycles at the end of the latest bidding exercise today (Feb 4).

Premiums for small cars (up to 1600cc and 97kW) was S$62,002, down from S$65,001 in the previous exercise, while premiums for big cars (above 1600cc and 97kW) fell from S$76,889 to S$70,890.

COE premiums for commercial vehicles, which includes goods vehicles and buses, also dropped from S$55,012 to S$52,101.

For Open category COE premiums, premiums fell from S$76,790, to S$71,921.

However, motorcycle premiums spiked from S$4,889 to S$5,504.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) received a total of 3,237 bids at the end of the February first open bidding exercise, with a quota of 2,369 COEs available.
