CPF appoints former Navy chief as new CEO

SINGAPORE — Former Navy chief Ng Chee Peng will take over as Chief Executive of the Central Provident Fund Board, succeeding Mr Yee Ping Yi.

SINGAPORE — Former Navy chief Ng Chee Peng will take over as Chief Executive of the Central Provident Fund Board, succeeding Mr Yee Ping Yi.

Mr Yee, who has been Chief Executive since January 2011, will return to the Civil Service where he will assume another leadership position, the CPF Board said today (Jan 30) in a news release.

Mr Ng was the Chief of Navy prior to joining the Ministry of Manpower as Deputy Secretary (Special Projects). He was also formerly the Director of Policy in the Ministry of Defence, Chief of Staff-Naval Staff, and Chief of Staff-Joint Staff in the Singapore Armed Forces. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
