SINGAPORE — A public tender has been put up for a residential site in the heart of Orchard Road that could yield 170 housing units, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said on Tuesday (Feb 27).
The tender for the 99-year leasehold site at Cuscaden Road will close at noon on April 26.
The 5,722.5 metres square site is a few minutes away from the shopping and entertainment belt along Orchard Road as well as the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It will also be near the future Orchard Boulevard MRT station.
The site was released from the Confirmed List of the Government Land Sales (GLS) programme for the first half of this year, URA said in a media release.
Two more residential sites - at Silat Road and Mattar Road - will be launched for sale in March under the first half of this year’s GLS Programme. The closing date for the tender of these two sites will also fall on April 26.
