Driver of McLaren car who allegedly left Keppel Road accident scene arrested

SINGAPORE — A 43-year-old male driver of a car involved in an accident along Keppel Road last Sunday (May 21) night has been arrested for failing to render assistance, the police said.

SINGAPORE — A 43-year-old male driver of a car involved in an accident along Keppel Road last Sunday (May 21) night has been arrested for failing to render assistance, the police said.

TODAY understands that the car involved is a McLaren and the driver of the car was allegedly not at the accident scene when the police arrived.

On Monday, the police said in response to TODAY’s queries then that a 28-year-old female passenger of the car was taken to Singapore General Hospital after the accident happened at around 10pm along Keppel Road towards Shenton Way, but gave no information on the driver.

A post from the SG Road Vigilante page on Facebook showed the car involved in the accident to be a McLaren MP4-12C.

The police said on Wednesday that the female passenger is assisting with ongoing investigations.
