ERP rates to be increased by S$1 at 6 gantries along CTE

SINGAPORE — From next Monday (Oct 12), Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges at six gantries along the Central Expressway (CTE) will be increased by S$1 as more people travel to and from their workplaces during peak periods.
In a statement on Friday, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that it will be charging an extra S$1 at these locations along the CTE:

It added that there will be no changes to the previously announced ERP rates for other gantries.
There will still be no ERP charges as well on other expressways and arterial roads.
This is the fourth time that the authorities have reviewed the ERP rates after June 2, when Singapore gradually opened up the economy following stay-home curbs.
LTA noted that as more people travel to and from their workplaces, traffic volume has continued to build up during weekday peak hours.
“This has led to localised congestion at specific locations along the CTE during peak periods,” it said.
“LTA will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need to be further adjusted.”
