SINGAPORE — The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will increase Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates at four expressway locations starting Aug 1 to manage vehicle congestion.

The revision is based on LTA’s monitoring of traffic conditions in June and July, it said in a news release on Wednesday (July 27).

With further easing of community and workplace measures from April 26, traffic has built up at various stretches of expressways, it said.

“To manage congestion at these locations, ERP rates will be adjusted by S$1 with effect from Aug 1 at the following four locations during the eight specific time periods,” LTA added.

The revised prices are as follows:

“As these are timeslots that are already priced today, there is no increase in the total number of timeslots or locations charged with ERP with this review,” LTA said.

Rates for the other previously announced timeslots and gantries remain unchanged.

The authority also said that after the adjustment from Aug 1, the number of locations and timeslots charged is still “significantly lower than the number charged pre-Covid”.

LTA said it will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need further adjustment. CNA
