Google Flights takes off in Singapore to ease travel planning

SINGAPORE — It’s never too early to start thinking for your next holiday, and Google just made it easier for Singapore travellers to plan their journeys.

The search engine giant just launched Google Flights in Singapore, allowing holiday seekers to either compare flight prices for a particular destination, or seek out destination ideas if they do not have one in mind.

For instance, type in “Singapore to Osaka” within the Google Flights page — or the Google search bar — and the search engine will yield a host of information that includes flight prices from various carriers that depart to the destination of choice.

The Explore function allows users to enter a preferred month for travel, along with the trip duration of up to two weeks. They will then be presented with a list of popular destinations and the dates that offer the lowest prices.

And for users who still cannot decide on holiday plans, they may opt to track a flight to receive email notifications to monitor price changes and travel tips.
