SINGAPORE — The police are investigating a case of hit-and-run involving a car that was filmed side-swiping a motorcycle at Outram Park.

In response to TODAY's queries, the police said that on Friday (March 10) last week at 6.12pm, they were alerted to a case of hit-and-run involving a car and a motorcycle along Teo Hong Road towards Eu Tong Sen Street.

No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.

In a post on Facebook group Complaint Singapore on Sunday by user Kayden Tan, a video taken from the perspective of a motorcyclist shows that he had overtaken a car that appeared to be turning out of a parking lot.

Though the car is not visible as the motorcycle goes down Teo Hong Road, it appears suddenly at the side of the motorcycle when it arrives along the North Bridge Road junction. The car then appears to side-swipe the motorcycle, causing the rider to exclaim in shock.

The rider then stops his bike, as the car speeds off.

A caption in the video reads: "I was lucky enough to anticipate and not drop my bike." The video also mentions that there was a pillion rider, though the rider cannot be seen.

"You could have potentially killed her," the caption continued, adding that a police report had been made.

The rider said that he did not chase after the car because it could have further endangered his life and that of his pillion rider. He added that both he and the pillion rider had some bruises on their knees from the incident.

The rider also captured the licence plate number of the car in the video.
