SINGAPORE — I12 Katong mall will reopen in phases from Thursday (Dec 23) until the mall’s grand opening in March next year, owner Keppel Land said in a statement.

About 30 tenants, including the Golden Village cinema chain, Ippudo ramen store and Lululemon sportswear shop, will open for business starting Thursday in the mall’s first phase of reopening.

I12 Katong had been closed since March last year for upgrading work.

Located at the intersection of East Coast Road and Joo Chiat Road, the revamped shopping complex comprises 180 stores across six storeys, with two basement car park levels.

The shopping centre will offer a mix of new concepts, including Singapore’s first medical co-working space — the 7,000-sqf Core Clinic — that will connect patients with medical practitioners as well as Mr Woofles, Singapore's first dog club and day-care facility in a mall.

Art gallery Sound of Art's retail space in the mall will feature a series of art exhibits by artists and designers across Asia. The art pieces will be available for purchase.

The mall will also have features such as electric vehicle chargers in its car park and a food "digester" to convert food waste into compost or liquid waste.

I12 Katong will also be a 5G-network-enabled mall in collaboration with telecommunications company M1, Keppel Land added.
