SINGAPORE – Jurong Bird Park will be turning 45 on the first Sunday of next year (Jan 3), and the park is looking to bring in the crowds on that day with a slew of events.
This includes a special edition of the popular High Flyers Show at 11am and 3pm, in which some of the park’s pioneer show birds that have retired will make special appearances.
Visitors to the park on Jan 3 will also enjoy retail and F&B deals, including 45 per cent off their choice of kids’ meals at Bongo Burgers restaurant with any purchase of a regular set meal.
In addition, Singapore residents will get 45 per cent off their admission fee for that day. The first 45 guests will also get a goodie bag containing exclusive merchandise from the park worth S$80.
The day will only be a start to the park’s 45th anniversary celebration, the park said today in a news release, saying that more details of this will be announced at a later date.
The Jurong Bird Park, which opened on Jan 3 in 1971 on a 20.2-hectare hillside, has since become a haven for 5,000 birds representing 400 of the world’s bird species. The wildlife park is the oldest of its kind in Singapore, the park said.
