SINGAPORE — Fast food chain McDonald's will resume delivery, drive-through and takeaway services on Monday (May 11).

In a Facebook post on Sunday, McDonald's Singapore said most of its restaurants will be open from 7am to 9pm, though its dessert kiosks and McCafe counters will remain closed. It will also not be offering 24-hour services during the circuit breaker period.

It added that some of its restaurants will have different opening hours, while those located in parks, tourist attractions and some institutions will remain closed.

"We hope you'll understand as this allows us to reduce the number of crew members in our restaurants and lets our more senior staff stay safely at home," McDonald's said.

It added that customers who visit its outlets for takeaway orders will need to observe safety measures such as temperature taking, safe distancing and SafeEntry registration.

Alternatively, customers can order via McDelivery which will be contactless and can only accept cashless payments, or via GrabFood.

McDonald's had closed all its restaurants on April 19, including delivery and drive-through services, after seven of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.

On April 30, it said that its outlets would remain closed "just a little longer" beyond its originally proposed reopening date on May 5.
