8:20pm: Fireworks go off over Marina Bay at the end of the National Day Parade 2018, as the celebrations reached a climax.
7.44pm: President Halimah Yacob and Chief of Defence Force Melvyn Ong Su Kiat are seen during the National Day Parade 2018 celebrations.

7pm: Soaring above the skyline, two F-16C aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force carved out a heart shape with smoke trails, while another fighter aircraft — an F15SG — engaged in a knife-edge vertical climb, making a sudden turn before shooting vertically into the sky above the floating platform.
6.51pm: Planes from the Republic of Singapore Air Force perform the aerial flypast.
6.50pm: The State Flag flies overhead.
6.48pm: President Halimah Yacob arrives at the parade venue.
6.40pm: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrives at the parade venue.
6.10pm: Ten Red Lions parachutists, donning wingsuits for the first time, are gliding gracefully back to earth.
5.50pm: Eight naval combat divers are now executing their inaugural freefall water jump from 5,000 feet.
5.39pm: The crowd is on their feet to form a “Marina wave” rippling across the floating platform.
5.32pm: The emcees are warming up the 25,000-strong crowd by having them raise their “We are Singapore” placards, bathing the floating platform in a sea of red.
5.20pm: The pre-parade crowd has gathered.
