SINGAPORE — The police are investigating a voyeurism incident that allegedly happened at a hostel in the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

A police spokesperson told TODAY that they were alerted to the case at 34 Nanyang Crescent — the address of NTU’s Hall of Residence 14 — on Wednesday (Aug 26) at 4pm.

A 20-year-old man is now assisting with police investigations.

An NTU spokesperson said that the university’s campus security was alerted to an alleged voyeurism incident at a residential hall at around 3.45pm.

“We are providing all necessary pastoral care and assistance to the students concerned. The university is assisting the police in their investigation.”

NTU said that it “takes a very serious view of any criminal conduct” and that any student who is found guilty will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion from the university.
