SINGAPORE — The police are investigating an incident where an employee of a Bukit Batok clinic was caught on video on Monday (April 18) apparently kicking a pram and shouting at a mother and her son.
In response to queries from TODAY, the police said on Thursday that "reports have been lodged and investigations are ongoing" but did not say who made the reports.
Two videos have made their rounds online showing both sides of the story.
The first video, uploaded on TikTok, showed the employee of Everhealth Family Clinic & Surgery, located at Le Quest mall, involved in a heated argument with the mother as the son can be heard pleading tearfully while hugging his mother.
The second video, purportedly from the clinic's security footage moments before the incident outside, showed the mother flinging several brochures towards the clinic staff members and knocking an item off the counter before storming out of the clinic.
When contacted by TODAY, the clinic said that the authorities are investigating the incident and declined to give more comments.
Everhealth Family Clinic & Surgery said in a Facebook post earlier that the staff member has been reprimanded and placed on a leave of absence following the dispute.
The clinic also said earlier that it was investigating the incident.
