SINGAPORE — The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was called in to help an elderly person out of a BMW car after it spectacularly mounted two other cars parked at an outdoor car park near Orchard Road.
An SCDF spokesperson said it was alerted to the accident at the Wheelock Place car park at around 4pm on Wednesday (June 12). The wheels on the driver’s side of the BMW had mounted two parked cars, while its other wheels remained on the ground.
TODAY understands that two fire engines, two fire bikes and an ambulance were deployed to the scene.
An elderly person was assisted out of the vehicle by SCDF personnel. The person was then assessed by a paramedic, but was not sent to a hospital.
No major damage to the BMW or other vehicles was immediately apparent, going by a video posted on Facebook.
However, pictures which emerged later showed that the bonnet of a car nearby was severely dented.
