Covid-19: Singapore reports fourth death, a 68-year-old Indonesian work pass holder

SINGAPORE — A fourth patient has died from Covid-19 in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a statement on Thursday (April 2).

The 68-year-old Indonesian man, who had a history of diabetes and hypertension, died at 6.43am, MOH said.

He was a Singapore work pass holder and had been in Indonesia from Jan 20 to March 16.

The patient was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases on March 22 and was confirmed to have the coronavirus that same day.

He had been in the intensive care unit since March 26, but developed serious complications and succumbed to the infection after seven days.
