SingTel: All ADSL services restored

SINGAPORE – All ADSL services including copper-based Internet, mio TV and voice services that were disrupted due to the fire at SingTel’s Bukit Panjang facility have been restored, the telco said in a statement today (Oct 12).

SINGAPORE – All ADSL services including copper-based Internet, mio TV and voice services that were disrupted due to the fire at SingTel’s Bukit Panjang facility have been restored, the telco said in a statement today (Oct 12).

However, SingTel added that some fibre customers may be experiencing service performance issues or difficulties connecting to the Internet due to the need for further rectification work.

SingTel said that is sending mobile broadband dongles to customers who subscribe to fibre broadband services only so that they can get connected to the Internet as soon as possible. It also said that it is focused on completing the rectification work as soon as possible. Meanwhile, more than 400 StarHub customers who were affected by the fire are still facing problems with their fibre connections as of 7pm today, StarHub said in a statement. The customers are located in Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang and Woodlands and StarHub said it is working with OpenNet and SingTel to restore services as soon as possible. The telco is also contacting affected customers to offer cable modem access in the interim.
