SINGAPORE — United States President Donald Trump's one-on-one meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Tuesday (June 12) will last 45 minutes, according to an official schedule released by the White House.
Mr Trump is expected to reach the Capella Hotel in Sentosa at about 8.20am, and greet Mr Kim around 9am, according to the schedule. It will be the first meeting between the leaders of both countries.
After their one-on-one meeting, accompanied only by translators, the two leaders and their senior officials will have a 90-minute expanded bilateral meeting. They would have a working lunch at about 11.30am.
Mr Trump will address the international media at a press conference in Sentosa around 4pm.
He will leave Sentosa around 6.50pm and head straight for the Paya Lebar Airbase, from where he would depart Singapore via the Air Force One presidential jet, the White House added.
Little is known about Mr Kim's itinerary, though unconfirmed reports have said that he plans to leave Singapore around 2pm on Tuesday. It is unclear if he has plans to address the international media on the outcome of his summit with Mr Trump.
The White House on Monday raised expectations of the summit by saying that talks with Pyongyang have moved more quickly than expected.
