Logistics manager charged with stealing 446 iPhone sets from her employer
SINGAPORE — A logistics manager from an electronics service company was charged on Monday (May 27) after she allegedly stole 446 sets of iPhones worth close to S$307,000.
Police seized 65 mobile phones and almost S$6,000 in cash from logistics manager Ng Shu Kian.
SINGAPORE — A logistics manager from an electronics service company was charged on Monday (May 27) after she allegedly stole 446 sets of iPhones worth close to S$307,000.
Ng Shu Kian, 38, is accused of stealing the mobile phones from her employer Pegatron Service Singapore, located at Viva Business Park in Chai Chee, between May 1 and 17 this year.
She faces one charge of criminal breach of trust as a servant. If convicted, she may be jailed up to 15 years and fined.
The company made a police report last Friday (May 24) evening, stating that more than 400 sets of mobile phones were missing from its warehouse.
Officers from the Bedok Police Division then conducted ground enquiries, established Ng’s identity and arrested her on Saturday.
They also seized 65 mobile phones and almost S$6,000 in cash from her.
She was remanded for investigations and will return to court on June 3.
