SINGAPORE — The Woodlands Regional Library as well as a bubble tea shop in Holland Village were added to a list of public places that had been visited by Covid-19 cases during their infectious period.

In its evening update on the coronavirus situation, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said that a 29-year-old Malaysian man who was infected was working at Tiger Sugar bubble tea shop housed in the Holland Piazza building in Holland Village. He was there on May 19 to 21 between 9.30am and 9.30pm.

Other infectious persons had been to:

  • Chang Cheng HQ at 27 Woodlands Link on May 15 between 7.30pm and 9.30pm

  • Woodlands Regional Library on May 19 between 2.20pm and 3.20pm

  • United Overseas Bank branch at Causeway Point mall on May 19 between 3.15pm and 3.50pm

  • POSB bank branch at 636 Bukit Batok Central on May 21 between 2.15pm and 3pm

  • Hup Choon Eating House at 1 Binjai Park on May 22 between 12.20pm and 1pm

  • FairPrice Finest supermarket at Bukit Timah Plaza on May 22 between 3.30pm and 4.30pm

MOH said that it would have already notified individuals who were identified as close contacts of the confirmed cases.

"As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit," it added.

"They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history."

Individuals may access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service via the TraceTogether mobile application, SingPass app, or at https://wereyouthere.safeentry.gov.sg to check whether they were at these locations during the specified timings, based on their own SafeEntry records.

Members of the public do not need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been, MOH said.

The National Environment Agency will engage the management of the affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.

On Tuesday, MOH reported 30 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore, 21 of which were locally transmitted. The remaining nine were imported.
