SINGAPORE — Staff members and tenants of eight places in Redhill and Tiong Bahru will have to undergo mandatory Covid-19 tests.

In a news release on Thursday (June 17), the Ministry of Health said that it has been investigating cases of coronavirus infections among people who work in or visited shops at:

  • 86 Redhill Close
  • 18 Jalan Membina
  • Tiong Bahru Yong Tao Hu coffee shop located at 56 Eng Hoon Street

“In order to disrupt any wider, undetected community transmission, we will conduct special testing operations for all staff and tenants who have been working at these premises,” it said.

The ministry added that it will extend free Covid-19 testing to members of the public who had visited:

  • Any of the shops at Blocks 78, 79, 80, 84 and 85 Redhill Lane and 86 Redhill Close between June 1 and 15

MOH said that the public may go to its website for details on the testing operations.

People who have been to these premises during the specified dates are advised to monitor their health closely and to minimise social interactions as far as possible for 14 days from their date of visit.

“They are encouraged to see a doctor immediately if they feel unwell,” MOH said.

On Thursday, Singapore reported 27 new cases of Covid-19, 20 of which were in the community.

The total number of Covid-19 cases here now stands at 62,366.
