SINGAPORE – Poland’s Agnieszka Radwańska beat Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova 6-2, 6-3 to join Caroline Wozniacki at the top of the White Group after the second day’s play at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals.

Play at the Singapore Indoor Stadium ended well past midnight after the first match between Wozniacki and Sharapova lasted more than three hours.

The second match was a more sedate affair with Radwanska dominating a listless Kvitova, never allowing her high-ranked opponent time to settle in the one hour 29 min encounter.

This was only the Pole’s second win over the Czech opponent, her last victory coming at the WTA year-end tournament two years ago.
