Singapore sprinter Timothee Yap misses out on 100m semis

RIO DE JANEIRO - Singapore's Timothee Yap missed out on the semi-finals of the Men's 100m event after finishing last in his heat.

RIO DE JANEIRO - Singapore's Timothee Yap missed out on the semi-finals of the Men's 100m event after finishing last in his heat.

The 21-year-old, who raced alongside Jamaican star Usain Bolt in Heat 7, clocked 10.79s - a shade off his personal best of 10.62s.

Defending world and Olympic champion Bolt clocked 10.07s to progress to the semi-finals.
