SINGAPORE — ION Orchard is set to turn into a Pokemon hot spot.

Orchard Turn Developments, the manager of ION Orchard mall, plans to release “hundreds” of Pokemon Go lures at the mall starting Saturday (Aug 6).

Lures in the game are designed to attract a large number of Pokemon to a said location. ION Orchard said it will release the Lures at the mall till Aug 21.

Orchard Turn Development has also partnered its stores to offer rewards to Pokemon Go players. Players can participate in a social media contest and win a S$50 shopping voucher by uploading a screenshot of a Pokemon Go capture at ION Orchard to the mall’s Facebook and/or Instagram with the hashtag #IONgraphy.

Meanwhile, CapitaLand is also launching a promotion campaign across its integrated developments, shopping malls, serviced residences, offices and homes. Players who snap a photo of a Pokemon on Instagram at one of their locations can earn points that can be redeemed for shopping vouchers. They must also follow @CapitaLand, hashtag #PokemonSTAR in the caption, and location-tag the CapitaLand property.
